To Twitter or Not to Twitter That’s the Question For InterNET NETwork Marketing
Twitter? Is that a bird or what?
Twitter is a new way to keep yourself in front of your audience. People get to “follow” you and find out what are you doing at the current moment. It allows people to know you as a real person, and thus building trust, which is important in InterNET NETwork Marketing (aka InterNETwork Marketing).
It’s kind of like a cross between SMS and blogging (hence some people called it micro-blogging). It allows you to update your status (whatever you are doing) via its website. Something like Facebook status, except that you can update it using a mobile phone too.

So what does Twitter has to do with InterNET NETwork Marketing?
When I stumbled across Twitter in April, I couldn’t figure out a use for it. I thought it was nothing more than a tool for perverted stalkers to stalk somebody!
But since then, I realised that Twitter is an important tool for the InterNET NETwork Marketer…
Now, in this new InterNETwork Marketing model, you need to provide value by putting up good content on the internet, to attract prospects interested in network marketing to opt into your email list. By building an email list, you are able to deliver ongoing valuable information to your prospects and this builds you up as authoritative figure in the subject matter of InterNETwork Marketing.
Before there was Twitter, people can find you as an InterNET NETwork Marketer through a variety of ways:-
- Search engines like Google
- Social network sites like Facebook
- Content sites like Squidoo
- Social Bookmarking sites like Digg
- Website (like my Financially Free Advisor site)
- Blogs (like this one!)…
…and now to add to these…Twitter!
In InterNET NETwork Marketing, Twitter fills in the missing piece in terms of time-sensitive, short info broadcast. It’s somewhat like SMS in the offline world. It gives people the comfort to know more about you through your tweets and find out if you can really value add before opting into your email list.
How to use Twitter in InterNET NETwork Marketing?
You can start by inviting your contacts in your email list to follow you on Twitter. Other people using twitter can also find you through their twitter contacts. You may include your Twitter link whenever you post content on the internet and in any emails you send out.
When someone follows you on Twitter, each time you send out an update, they will see it.
Twitter allows you to put links in your updates and this is an important function: When you post new fresh content on the internet (your blog, website etc), not only can you email people on your email list to read the post, you can also post the link on twitter, and the people following you can read your blog post too!
If people read enough of your content to find you a trustworthy person able to help them with InterNET NETwork Marketing, they may opt into your email list or even call you to meet up! (Yes, it happened to me already). Also, informing your email list using Twitter gives you an additional notification channel, just in case your email ends up in their spam folders!
Plus, there is this pretty cool widget for Twitter that you can put on your website or blog. Whenever you update your Twitter status, it shows up your blog! And if you add the Twitter application in Facebook too, your Facebook status also gets updated as well!
So…To Twitter or Not to Twitter?
Twitter is a useful tool for InterNET NETwork Marketers to extend the reach of your content, thereby increasing your number of prospects. Twitter is also a great tool to give people an “insider view” of what goes on in your life as a InterNET NETwork Marketer, building rapport, trust and relationship.
In short, USE IT
